Punita Khanna
Punita Khanna is an international best-selling author, healthcare executive, patient advocate, and philanthropist.
Punita’s family represents the increasing multicultural population. She is in an interracial marriage and her son, Rahul Yates, is multiracial. Punita and Rahul co-authored “Mixed Desis: Stories of Multiracial South Asians“. Their book describes the changing face of the Global South Asian diaspora as depicted by over sixty courageous individuals who share their stories of the magic, mystery, self-discovery, and belonging to the interracial and multiracial South Asian communities.
Punita has over 25 years of experience working in integrated health systems in management consulting, business development, managed care and strategic planning.
Punita is also a breast cancer patient advocate and lived experience expert speaker. She has been featured in the media with the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network, Katie Couric Media, Exact Sciences, Parade Magazine, San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium, South Asian American Policy and Research Institute, Let’s Make A Deal, and Identity Unveiled, showcasing the diverse representation of individuals affected by cancer.
Punita has a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree from the University of Chicago, an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management and a Fundraising Certificate from UCLA. Punita and her husband reside in Los Angeles. Rahul is a student at Harvard College.
